Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the condensed matter theory and materials physics groups led by Profs. Peihong Zhang and Xuedong Hu in the Department of Physics at the University at Buffalo (UB), SUNY.  

The candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in condensed matter physics (or a related field) and have demonstrated original contributions to the field. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in first-principles electronic structure theory (especially large-scale computation of complex materials and structures) and/or spin-qubit physics in semiconductor quantum dots. The candidate will work closely with both supervisors and other postdocs and graduate students, and with our experimental collaborators.

The appointment is initially for two years and can be extended for an additional year. The annual salary is $45,000 to $50,000 depending on experience. We also provide a competitive benefits package for all postdoctoral fellows.
