A 2-years postdoctoral position is currently available in the Materials Modeling and Informatics Group led by Prof. Qiang Zhu (https://qzhu2017.github.io) in the William States Lee College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The expected salary is $56k-$59k. The preferred starting date is Summer/Fall 2024.

For this position, we are primarily looking for a candidate with the speciality in electronic structure calculation and high-throughput computational screening. The necessary qualifications include

1. expertise in DFT or Tight-binding based electronic structure simulation (required)
2. expertise in Python or C programing (required)
3. prior experiences and knowledge in battery materials simulation (preferred)
