A post-doctoral research position funded by JCyL with European FEDER funds is available in the Multiscale Materials Modeling group at University of Valladolid (https://www.ele.uva.es/~mmm/).

The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science or related disciplines. A solid understanding of defects in materials as well as good scientific programming skills are advantageous. It is expected to have effective oral and written communication skills in English.

The work to be performed involves numerical calculations of the atomic mechanisms related to strain release during SiGe epitaxial growth with focus on the fabrication of nanostructures. Advanced model development and implementation for TCAD tools will be carried out by active collaboration with Synopsys Inc. A summary of the project can be found at this link.

The position in funded from February 2018 to October 2019 and the gross salary is ~2.200 €/month.
