Postdoctoral position in computational materials ... (No replies)
Back to Job listings...
A postdoctoral position in computational materials physics is available immediately under the supervision of Professor Normand Mousseau in the Département de physique at Université de Montréal (Montreal, Canada). The general interests of the group include disordered and complex materials, in particular their structural and dynamical properties, with an important focus on algorithmic development.
The project centers on continuing the development of kinetic ART, an on-the-fly off-lattice kinetic Monte Carlo technique, and applying the method to diffusion and growth problems. Mixing topological analysis with the activation-relaxation technique, kinetic ART is uniquely able to study interface diffusion, defects in semiconductors, etc. For recent work on this and related problems, please consult http://normandmousseau.com/
The candidate should be well versed in atomistic simulations and have extensive experience in programming and code development.
The selected candidate is expected to start
as soon as possible, understanding that the current situation imposed by the coronavirus causes unpredictable delays. Interested candidates should send a curriculum vitae and a list of a least three references with phone and e-mail addresses to Normand Mousseau ([email protected]).
Review of the applications will start on May 31st and will continue until a suitable candidate is found. Only applications meeting the above criteria will be acknowledged.
