Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Beijing General Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals is seeking a highly motivated post-doc with strong background in computational modeling of optoelectronic and energy conversion materials.

The positions will be located in the Shengbai Zhang’s research group in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY, US. The candidate to this position will be supervised by Professor Shengbai Zhang and be engaged in research involving the theoretical and computational modeling of the materials related to optoelectronic engineering [including graphene and other two-dimensional (2D) materials], materials for energy conversion and storage, and new materials which have important potential applications. The employed methods will be mainly rooted onto DFT, plane-wave pseudopotential approaches and DFT-based molecular dynamics.

Chinese citizen is preferred. Salary will be about 300,000 Chinese Yuan/year (about $46,000/year) up to two years.
