Postdoctoral Position in Computational Materials (No replies)

A postdoctoral position is available immediately, with initial appointment up to August 31, 2016 and renewable based upon funding and performance. The position is at Arkansas State University working with Dr. Koushik Biswas.
Candidates with strong background and experience in first-principles electronic structure methods and programming experience are encouraged to apply. The work will involve the study of complex halides, oxides, and chalcogenides for primary application in radiation detection. Radiation detectors constitute both semiconductors and scintillators. Other opto-electronic applications are also of interest.
A PhD in Physics or closely related field is required. Experience with first-principles calculations, strong background in condensed matter physics will be necessary. Good oral and written communication skill is also required.
