This offer concerns the theoretical study of the properties of inorganic periodic solids as part of a project on the band gap and properties engineering by multi-anions in mixed anion compounds.

Activities

- Perform DFT and post-DFT simulations to access the electronic structure and properties
- Extract information on magnetic interactions, chemical bonding, optical properties etc ...
- establish structure-property relationships

Skills

- Very good mastery of simulation by DFT with one or more codes (VASP ...)
- Experience with structural prediction codes such as USPEX would also be appreciated
- Autonomy, teamwork
- Good organizational skills

Work Context

The work will take place in the UCCS laboratory (Unité de Catalyse et de Chimie du Solide) within the MISSP team (Inorganic Materials, Structure, Systems and Properties). The laboratory is located in the Cité Scientifique of the University of Lille.
