An up-to 18-month postdoc position is scheduled for a November start (ideally early-November) at UCD in Dublin under the direction of Dr. Niall English. This relates to molecular-dynamics (MD) simulations as well as experiments on the formation of (mixed) hydrogen hydrates, and hydrogen release from these, with a view towards gauging hydrogen storage capacity and optimising kinetics of formation and hydrogen release. However, methane-hydrate formation will also be an important part of the project, particularly using MD. Fortran programming skills are very important.

Naturally, (near-) fluent English and manuscript-writing/drafting and oral-presentation skills are vital, together with a willingness and a desire to perform both simulations and experiments.
