Postdoctoral position at TU Wien: "All-scale predictive design of heat management material structures"

A Post-doc position is available at the Institut for Materials Chemistry (Theoretical Chemistry) at the Technical University of Vienna for the collaborative Horizon 2020 project ALMA (www.almabte.eu). The successful candidate will develop and apply methods for the predictive calculation of thermal conductivity in semi-conductor structures. Candidates are required to hold a PhD (Magister-, Diplom- or MSc) in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or a related discipline. We expect good communication skills in English and a willingness to travel to collaborators worldwide. Programming skills and experience in density functional theory and high-performance computing are also expected. Previous experience with calculation of transport properties is an advantage.
