Postdoctoral Position at the University of Minne ... (No replies)
Back to Job listings...
The Theoretical Materials Physics Group at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a postdoc position. The research of the group focuses on the computational design of materials that host exotic phenomena such as topological insulators, multiferroics, spin-orbit coupled Mott insulators, or high temperature superconductors. This position is part of a collaboration, and the postdoc will have strong interactions with experimentalists.
Highly motivated candidates with a degree from physics, chemistry, materials science or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with first principles calculations at the level of DFT is necessary, and familiarity with many body methods such as Dynamical Mean Field Theory is strongly preferrable.
The applicants should send their CVs along with a publication list, and a brief statement of research interests to Turan Birol ([email protected]). Three letters of recommendation should also be directly sent to the same address. Review of applications will begin immediately, and continue until the position is filled. Starting date is flexible.
The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
