The research group of Frank Ortmann at TU Munich has an opening for a post-doc position, The project involves research in the field of electronic structure and excitons of organic materials. The properties of novel systems will be investigated by a combination of methods including DFT, GW, BSE, and by simulations of quantum dynamics.

Your qualifications:

For a successful application, a PhD in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, Theoretical Chemistry or a closely related field is necessary. The knowledge of many-body techniques will be of great advantage. Very good communication and writing skills in English are further expected.

Our offer:

The offered postdoc position is limited to two years. Payment will be based on the German TV-L scale. TUM strives to raise the proportion of women in its workforce and explicitly encourages applications from qualified women.
