Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Join Our Innovative Research Team at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden: Postdoctoral Research Position in Atomistic Modeling and Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Energy Storage Materials.

Are you a curious researcher with expertise in electronic structure calculations and/or ab initio molecular dynamics? We invite applications for a postdoctoral research position in the exciting field of energy storage materials.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our dynamic team focused on advancing the understanding of energy storage materials through atomistic modeling, based on Density Functional Theory (DFT), and molecular dynamics simulations (MD). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the development of next-generation energy storage technologies.

Responsibilities:

Conduct atomistic modeling to explore the electronic structure and properties of energy storage materials.
Perform molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the dynamic behavior and performance of materials at the atomic scale.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate simulation results with experimental data.
Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
Expertise in electronic structure calculations.
Strong background in molecular dynamics simulations of materials.
Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Our offer:
We offer a postdoctoral scholarship funded by Carl Tryggers Stiftelse for 2 years with a strongly supportive environment and access to cutting-edge high-performance computing facilities.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit a CV, a cover letter outlining their research experience and interests, and contact information for three references to Raquel Lizárraga Jurado ([email protected]).

Join us at KTH and be part of a vibrant community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge. Together, we can shape the future of energy storage technologies.

KTH is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce.

Best regards
Raquel Lizárraga Jurado.
