A postdoc position is available in South University of Science and Technology of China, Shenzhen. The postdoc should be involved in research on (1) first-principles design of solid electrolyte for Li ion batteries; (2) stuctures and properties of materials under high pressure.  These studies will be in close collaboration with experimental groups. The required qualifications include a PhD degree in physics or closely related areas, strong background in the practice of first-principles calculations and scientific programming skills.

The annual salary will be in the range of 200-300 k RMB, depending on the candidate's research experience and academic qualifications. Qualified candidates will also receive a bonus package (tax free) totaling 1.6-2 million RMB (~ 240-300k USD), to be distributed annually over 5 years.
