The Physics and Life Science division at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (California, USA) seeks a postdoctoral researcher to carry out research using first-principles methods such as Density Functional Theory driven Molecular Dynamics to study the properties of materials in the Warm Dense Matter regime in connection to ongoing high-pressure experiments on materials relevant to planetary science and to inertial confinement fusion. 

Demonstrated experience in massively-parallel computing and coding in addition to a strong brackgroud in thermodynamics and statistical physics are required.

This is a two-year Postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of extension to a maximum of three years. Eligible candidates are recent PhDs within five years of the month of the degree award at time of hire date.
