A two-year postdoc position is available in the Prof. Gupta's group at City University of New York (USA). The research conducted in Prof. Gupta's laboratory focuses on understanding structure and functions of metalloproteins participating in human immune system through the use of both biophysical experimental techniques and density functional theory calculations. Applicants must have a Ph.D in chemistry or biophysics or a related field. Experience in protein expression, purification and related biochemical methodologies, as well as in using techniques such as EPR or NMR spectroscopy are desired but not necessary. Experience in density functional theory calculations of metallocomplexes will be a plus. The work is funded by NIH and NSF grants.
