Postdoctoral Fellowship Positions at Carnegie Institution for Science, Washington, DC

The Carnegie Institution for Science invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships at its Washington, DC research campus. Carnegie Fellowships are awarded once per year to support independent, creative experimental and computational research in multiple fields including high-pressure physics and materials synthesis and chemistry under extreme conditions. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field by the start of the fellowship. Selection criteria include outstanding research accomplishments, promise of future achievement, originality and independence, and relevance to ongoing scientific pursuits at Carnegie. A curriculum vitae, list of publications, brief description of previous research, research proposal (≤4 pages), cover letter and three letters of recommendation must be submitted online by November 1, 2021. Fellowships are initially for one year and are normally renewable for a second year.
