A postdoctoral position with a primary focus on nanomaterials and machine learning is available immediately in the Shenoy Group at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. We are looking for a strongly motivated candidate to work on (a) identifying nanomaterials for energy storage and catalysis and (b) electronic properties of 2D materials and their heterostructures, using a combination of first-principles and machine learning approaches. Ideal candidates will have a background in physics and materials science and experience in machine learning. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to be directly involved in complimentary experimental investigations, both at UPenn and with external collaborators.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense. The University of Pennsylvania is an equal opportunity employer. Applications by members of all underrepresented groups are encouraged. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.

Candidates should send their CV with names of three references to Prof. Vivek Shenoy ([email protected]). More information can be found on our group website at https://shenoy.seas.upenn.edu/research/nano-and-energy-materials/.
