Postdoctoral and Project Associate position available at MRC, IISc, Bangalore

There is an immediate opening for two postdoctoral and one project associate position in the group of Prof. Abhishek Kumar Singh in the Materials Research Centre at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The eligibility criteria and description of the positions are given below:

Position category and description:

PD-I: Postdoctoral position on the ML approach applied to catalysis.

PD-II: Postdoctoral position on the application of ML approach on structural safety.

PA-I: Project Associate position on the application of ML approach on structural safety.

Eligibility/Qualification:

PD-I & PD-II:

• The candidates are expected to have or to soon have a PhD in Theoretical/Computational Chemistry or Physics or Materials/Metallurgy. The candidates having PhD in Computer Science are also preferred.
• Experience with multiscale modeling, machine learning and big data analysis is desired.
• A good knowledge of computer programming and the environment is essential. The candidate should also have excellent writing and communications skills in English.

PA-I:

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Materials/Metallurgy, Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent.
• A good knowledge of computer programming and environment is essential. The candidate should also have excellent writing and communications skills in English.
• The position is for an immediate start and hence current students not yet graduated will not be considered.
