The Institute of chemistry is looking for a University Assistant with doctorate
(40 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the period of 3 years; position to be filled as soon as possible )
Job specification

• Supervision of Bachelor/Master Students
• Teaching of courses within the chemistry curriculum
• Computation of organic hydrates and clathrates
• Application of periodic boundary conditions, quantum chemical programs as well as embedded (QM/MM or QM/QM) methods
• Development of Theory (QM/MM or QM/QM methods)
• Collaborative development of computational chemistry software
• Preparation of Scientific Publications

Professional qualifications

• Doctorate/Ph.D. in physics or chemistry
• Experience in electronic structure theory and weak interactions
• Software developments skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language

Personal profile

• Ability to work in teams and good communication skills
• Academic curiosity
• Enjoyment of working with students

Classification
Salary scheme of the Universitaeten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1
Minimum salary
The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 3546.00 gross/month, which amounts to EUR 49644.00 gross/year. This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
