A postdoc position is available at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan. The position is funded by the Japanese government supported project “Development of Innovative Catalytic Process for Organosilicon Functional Materials”. The purpose of the project to is to develop novel catalysts that enable functionalization of silicon compounds of industrial interest. Our team will conduct theoretical/computational modeling studies of catalysts in collaboration with experimental groups participating in the project.

Applicants should have Ph.D. degrees in quantum chemistry or related areas. Experience in catalytic reaction mechanism studies or modeling of chemical reactions at surface using electronic structure code such as Gaussian or GAMESS is must. The position is available immediately.
