The Quantum Transport Theory Group, led by Prof. Branislav K. Nikolic at the University of Delaware, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in simulation of time-dependent charge and energy transport through biomolecules. The project involves developing new multiscale formalism and the corresponding software which will be applied to design 2D material-based nanostructure for ultrafast DNA sequencing or artificial photosynthetic complex. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in theoretical and computational condensed matter physics or chemistry. Candidates with strong expertise in at least two fields among nonequilibrium Green function theory, molecular dynamics and density functional theory will be given priority in consideration. Applicants should send a Curriculum Vitae (which includes a list of publications and a list of at least three references), samples of code they have developed, and examples of parallel computing usage to [email protected]. The position is initially for one year, starting in September 2016, with possible extensions. Screening of applicants will start immediately.
