A postdoc researcher position is available in the Method Development and Materials Simulation Lab (https://research.njit.edu/mdmsl/) led by Farnaz A. Shakib at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, NJ, USA. We are a multidisciplinary group interested in designing new generation of sustainable energy resources by means of a variety of in-house computational tools. The current position will have a focus on 2D material discovery via high-throughput screening and machine learning techniques. Required qualifications include expertise in Fortran and Python coding and development of machine learning potentials. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic international environment and will be involved in multiple ongoing projects in the lab.

The initial appointment is for one year starting on September 1, 2021. Renewal of the contract is subject to mutual agreement and availability of external funding.
