Uppsala University, Department of Physics and Astronomy, hereby declares the following position to be open for application: Postdoc position in Electronic Structure Theory
The postdoc will develop and use all-electron as well as pseudopotential codes, for electronic structures of functional materials. The position also involves correlated electronic structures, that will be treated with multi-configuration methods, such as Dynamical Mean Field Theory. Applications of the developed methods is for materials used in “green” energy solutions, e.g. graphene, functional magnets and transition metal oxides.
The applicant is expected to have a PhD degree in Physics, with a good background in solid-state physics and theory in general. The application should include a statement of research interest, CV, certificates of exams, degrees and grades, a copy of the PhD thesis, or equivalent, published articles and other relevant materials, if available. Also, letter(s) of recommendation can be included.
The position is open for two years. Starting date: June 2021.
