A postdoc position is available at the Molecular Transport group in Prague on the calculation of electronic structure and optical properties of single molecules on surfaces. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with experiment. The project aims at explaining electroluminescence data from individual molecules deposited on a substrate.

Candidates should have experience in the calculation of excited states and optical properties of molecules, preferably on a substrate.  Programming experience (eg. python, fortran) will be an advantage.

The position is funded by a research grant and can be extended up to 3 years (until the end of 2022) upon mutual agreement.

The group is part of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. We offer a dynamic scientific environment, participation in international conferences and close interaction with experiment. Salary will depend on qualifications. Twice a year there are bonuses based on performance and productivity. Housing is possible via the Academy of Sciences.
