POSTDOC POSITION IN COMPUTATIONAL CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS / MATERIALS SCIENCE

A postdoc position is available in Computational Materials Physics Group at IZTECH (http://hsevinclilab.iyte.edu.tr), with focus on electron and phonon transport in low-dimensional systems.

The research areas to which the postdoctoral researcher can contribute through his/her research are (i) quantum phonon transport (code development and computations for nano-junctions); (ii) electron transport in novel 2D materials (with possible extension to topological insulators) using either available codes or developing codes for specific purposes.

The successful candidate should have a PhD degree in computational materials science or computational physics. Ability to perform computer code development is desirable. Experience with ab inito calculation methods and non-equilibrium many body perturbation techniques will be an advantage. Good communication skills both orally and in written English are required.

The initial appointment will be for one year with possible extension to three years.
