Position: Postdoc position in Computational Condensed Matter Physics in the department of Physics at the University at Buffalo SUNY in Buffalo, New York.
Anticipated start date: Fall 2023 or Spring 2024
Required qualifications: PhD in Physics
Preferred qualifications: Theoretical/Computational Condensed Matter Physics, Many-Body Physics, Strongly Correlated Systems
Position Summary: The successful candidate will join the vibrant and growing Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics group at the University at Buffalo and work under the supervision of Dr Herbert Fotso. He/she will use a combination of analytical and computational approaches to study the nonequilibrium dynamics of many-particle systems with an emphasis, on the one hand, on strongly correlated systems when they are under the influence of various time-dependent effects, and, on the other hand, on the dynamics of various quantum systems that are relevant for light-matter interfaces in quantum information processing.
