Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s (LBNL) Materials Sciences Division has an opening for a 2D Moiré Materials Postdoctoral Fellow to join the group of Dr. Sinéad Griffin.

In this exciting role, you will explore novel 2D Moiré materials as new supercrystal magnets and qubits. You will use theoretical and computational methods to understand, predict and design spins in 2D materials, and explore their corresponding functional properties for next-generation electronics and Quantum Information Science applications.

This position will include close collaboration with the experimental groups of Profs. D. Kwabena Bediako (UC Berkeley) and M. Zürch (UC Berkeley). This appointment is joined between the Materials Sciences Division and the Molecular Foundry in the group of Dr. Sinéad M. Griffin. This is a full-time 2 year, postdoctoral appointment with salary dependent on years of experience post-degree.
