Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral position at the University of
Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. The position is for 3 years. The yearly
total of the research grant is € 22.054 net of social security contributions
to be paid by the Administration. The amount of the grant is paid to the
beneficiary in monthly instalments. The hiring must take place by March
2023.
The research project relies on the use/development of advanced HPC
ab-initio tools for computational design of novel materials for
photocatalytic, photovoltaics and electronic applications. Theoretical
investigations will be performed within the Density Functional Theory,
the Many Body Perturbation Theory and eventually with multi-scale
approaches.

Personal Specification:
We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated candidate with a solid
background in Physics and Condensed Matter theory. Proven
knowledge of Density Functional Theory and Many Body Perturbation
Theory methods constitutes a clear advantage. Programming skills in
Python and Fortran, as well as knowledge of high performance
computing are considered a plus.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry, Computer
Science, Materials Science and Engineering or similar fields.
