At the Rudjer Boskovic Institute (RBI), Zagreb, Croatia, we have a postdoc position in the field of Computational Material Science / Condensed Matter Physics / Theoretical Chemistry, to work on the project "Hybrid modeling for excited states in novel molecular materials: from optical properties to exciton dynamics". Contract lasts till the end of the project, which is 25th January 2025.

Candidate should possess a PhD in the field of Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology or related and is expected to have experience in the usage of numerical methods for material modeling (e.g. density functional theory, molecular dynamics, etc.). Preference will be given to applicants with experience on modeling of electronic excited states in molecules and molecular materials. Only candidates who enrolled their PhD max. 10 years ago can apply.

The monthly salary after taxes is approx 1300€. Health insurance (including dental coverage) is provided. Good quality of life can be maintained as Croatia offers a relatively low cost of living.
