Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s (LBNL) Materials Sciences Division has an opening for a Materials for Quantum Information Science (QIS) Postdoctoral Fellow to join the group of Dr. Sinéad Griffin.

In this role you will focus on the theoretical and computational understanding, designing and predicting materials for Quantum Information Science (QIS), and how decoherence can be mitigated and controlled in real solid-state systems. 

The position is a part of the Quantum Systems Accelerator (QSA), a new research center led by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) that is forging the technological solutions needed to harness and accelerate discoveries in QIS for discoveries. The position will include close collaboration with other theorists and with experimentalists, both in condensed matter and QIS, to design and characterize materials for QIS. This appointment is joined between the Materials Sciences Division and the Molecular Foundry in the group of Dr. Sinéad M. Griffin. This is a full-time 2 year, postdoctoral appointment with salary dependent on years of experience post-degree.
