Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Studies of New Perovskite Materials for Solar Cells

An EPSRC-funded postdoctoral research position is available to carry out computational studies of new perovskite halides for solar cells within the materials chemistry group of Professor Saiful Islam at the University of Bath. The research project will apply advanced computational techniques (based on DFT) in the study of defect, electronic and surface properties of solar cell materials based on metal halide perovskites. This work will link up with collaborative experimental studies including groups of Dr Sam Stranks (Cambridge) and Dr Saif Haque (Imperial College London), and is part of the EPSRC Programme Grant on Energy Materials-Computational Solutions.

Previous experience in computational materials science and a track record of peer-reviewed publications are essential. This post is available from 1st September 2017 or shortly thereafter for up to 14 months.
