Postdoc position in Theory of Magnetic Materials at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Starting date: September 2018. The postdoc will be part of a joint experimental and theoretical consortium focusing on finding magnetic materials for green energy solutions. This involves research on magneto caloric materials as well as rare-earth free permanent magnets. The postdoc will be involved in data-mining techniques to identify search criteria to identify novel functional materials. The tools to be used are primarily electronic structure theory coupled to atomistic spin- and lattice-dynamics.
