Postdoctoral positions in theoretical/computational condensed matter
IIT invites applications for a post-doc position within Sergey Artyukhin's Group of the Quantum Materials Theory Research Unit in Genoa, Italy.
Your profile: Strong publication record, excellent knowledge of theoretical/computational condensed matter physics, command of written and spoken English. Familiarity with Mathematica software is a plus. A Ph.D. is required for this position.
The research program is focused on magnetic and multiferroic materials, and will guide the experimental efforts to design functional materials. Current interests are in magnetic dynamics, non-collinear magnetism, frustrated magnets, improper ferroelectricity, magnetization and polarization switching in multiferroics.
The successful candidate will pursue his/her research in the areas described above and closely collaborate with experimental groups to contribute to the understanding of their results.
