A postdoctoral position is available in the research group led by Prof. Aron Walsh in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London. It is part of the Thomas Young Centre for the Theory and Simulation of Materials.
Research will be performed as part of the the STARCELL project funded by Horizon 2020. It is a partnership of 15 world leading groups on kesterite (Cu2ZnSnS4) solar cells, including IREC, EMPA, NREL and Duke University. The role of the computational posts is both to support our experimental partners are provide new solutions for sustainable solar energy.
Experience in density functional theory applied to crystalline solids is essential. Additional experience in optical properties, phonons, defect processes, or materials screening and informatics is advantageous.
