Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…
Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.
In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

https://www.physik.uni-hamburg.de/en/th1/ag-daria-gorelova.html
has an open postdoc position to be filled as soon as possible. The candidate must have a PhD degree in Theoretical Physics or Theoretical Chemistry or must be expecting to get one by the start date. Good English skills are expected.
The candidate's project will be a part of a larger Freigeist Fellowship Project "Seeing excitons in motion" and the primary postdoc project is the description of ultrafast photoelectron momentum microscopy following excited-state dynamics in materials. In addition, the candidate is expected to help doctoral students, master or bachelor students with their projects, when necessary. The group works interdisciplinary and focuses on three types of systems: solid-state materials, molecules and hybrid systems.
The necessary requirements
Experience with electronic structure calculations, either in solid-state systems or in molecules is welcome.
Extensive experience in solving complex physical problems computationally.
Optional requirements: the ideal candidate has experience with at least one of the following
Light-matter interaction.
Coupled electron-nuclear or electron-phonon dynamics.
Excited-state dynamics.
Attosecond science.
The deadline for applications is 30. April 2023. Please send your application to [email protected] together with CV including publication list, transcript of records for bachelor and master degrees. Attach the PhD certificate, if already available, otherwise, state the expected date of the PhD defense explicitly.
