Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at the SUNCAT Center for Interface Science and Catalysis at Stanford University / SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing models for charge and energy transfer in heterogeneous catalytic reactions. These models will be based on first-principles simulations of surface dynamics to be carried out by the candidate in close collaboration with experimental efforts at Stanford and SLAC.

As the successful candidate, you will have:
- A PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related field
- A strong background in computational physics or chemistry
- Proficiency in programming and data analysis with Python
- Proficiency in modeling surface reactions using density functional theory
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse research team

The position is open now and it is initially for one year with possibility of extension for another year based on performance and mutual consent.

Preview of applications begins immediately. Applications are accepted until the position is filled. The salary range for the position is USD 72k-74k.
