Postdoc at Binghamton University - SUNY (No replies)

A postdoctoral research associate position is available in Prof. Manuel Smeu’s research group in the Department of Physics at Binghamton University – State University of New York. The research project involves computational modeling of nano- and molecular electronic systems using state-of-the-art nonequilibrium Green’s function techniques combined with density functional theory (NEGF-DFT), along with advancement and development of these and similar techniques. Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a closely related field at the time of appointment, and have a track record of computational research utilizing DFT. Experience in code development and/or electron transport modeling with NEGF or similar techniques is an asset.

 

The appointment is for up to two years. A complete application includes the following items:

4) a brief description of past research accomplishments (one page maximum)
