POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN MULTIFERROIC INTERFACES COMPUTATIONAL MATERIALS THEORY

                                       M. Keck Computational Materials Theory Center

One postdoctoral position is available in the W. M. Keck Computational Materials Theory Center at California State University Northridge (http://www.csun.edu/~nkioussi/) in the area of electronic structure calculations of half metallic ferromagnetic/ferroelectric and ferromagnetic/multiferroic interfaces. Experience with first-principles electronic-structure calculations, calculations of voltage/strain control of interfacial magnetocrystalline anisotropy, and/or spin transport properties, spin hall conductivity, and code development is highly desirable. This work is in collaboration with experimental/theoretical groups at UCLA, Cornell and UC Berkley and Trinity College Dublin.

The position is available immediately. Appointment is for two years with the potential for renewal for third year based upon satisfactory performance.
