2-years postdoctoral fellowship contract in Computational Chemistry at the University of Modena and Reggio-Emilia (UniMORE), Italy.

I hire a post-doc to carry out QM/MM Molecular Dynamics simulations of enzymes, within a project aiming at creating a database to be exploited for machine learning.

The salary is competitive by Italian standards, being a level II contract (=more than entry level), and the latter includes both parental leave and unemployment benefits after the end of it (called "DIS-COLL").
The contract shall be for 24 months.

While the contract is thought for persons already having a doctoral degree (or being close to get it), also people with a Master degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Materials Science will be considered for this position, provided that they have at least some experience in computational chemistry or Molecular Dynamics.

Working hours are flexible, and we can arrange for some remote working.

The official call can be found on the university website:

Modena is a beautiful city (about 190.000 citizens) in Northern Italy very close to Bologna (about 20 minutes by train), while having a much more affordable cost of life.
