A post-doctoral position in computational spintronics is available in the group of Prof. Evgeny Tsymbal at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Nebraska-Lincoln (http://physics.unl.edu/tsymbal/). The research work involves spin-dependent transport properties of unconventional ferroic materials and heterostructures, including quantum tunneling and anomalous and spin Hall effects. Required qualifications include PhD in condensed matter physics/materials science, expertise in electronic band structure and transport calculations, interest to work in collaboration with experimentalists, and good communication skills. Expertise in computational methods, such as Quantum ESPRESSO, Wannier90, PAOFLOW, and Wannier Berri, will be considered as an advantage.

Initial appointment is for two years, with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement and availability of funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Ab initio (from electronic structure) calculation of complex processes in materials
