Job Description:
This position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, General Atomics SmartState Center will provide expertise in advanced modeling and simulation of complex oxide, ionic salts, and metallic systems. The successful candidate will perform first principles and related modeling calculations for materials systems of interest for energy technology-related high temperature materials to develop.  They will interact with experimental researchers to develop/enhance thermochemical representations and provide guidance for experimental efforts working in a collaborative environment.
