Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Special emphasis is placed on recruiting talented, self-motivated candidate with a solid background in catalysis, chemical engineering, reaction engineering, materials science, and nanomaterials, and/or data analytics.

The successful candidate will work on applying density functional theory, microkinetic modeling, continuum transport modeling and machine learning techniques to facilitate the design of novel catalytic/electrocatalytic materials with tailored properties. The successful candidate will develop data-driven multi-scale simulations (from atomic to continuum scale) for catalytic properties prediction.

The candidate will work in the group of Assistant Professor Che at University of Massachusetts Lowell, Lowell, MA, USA, in strong collaborations with other experimental groups. Previous experience in

(1) DFT (Must)

(2) Microkinetic Modeling (Plus)

(3) Computational Fluid Dynamics and/or Machine Learning (Plus)

If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this position, please provide by email ([email protected]) a detailed resume, a short research statement explaining your scientific and research interests, and contact information for three referees in support of your application (as PDF files).
