One post-doc position is available in the research group of Prof. Vincenzo Barone (http://smart.sns.it/) at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy, with expected starting period late summer/early fall. The appointment is for 1 year with a net salary of ~19000-20000 EUR.

The appointed researcher will work on a project on chemical reactivity under the supervision of Dr. Sergio Rampino with the possibility of focusing on the following topics:

* Development and application of bond-analysis techniques through virtual reality

* Development and application of computational models for gas-phase reactivity in astrochemistry

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or closely related disciplines and an overall strong motivation. Knowledge of electronic-structure methods, scientific programming and high-performance computing are highly welcome.

The Scuola Normale Superiore (https://www.sns.it/) is a teaching and research centre founded by Napoleon in 1810 and located in the historical centre of Pisa, Tuscany, 600m off the Leaning Tower.
