A 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship will be available in the next few months at the Division of Theoretical Physics of the Ruđer Bošković institute in Zagreb, Croatia, in the fields of Computational Material Science and Condensed Matter Simulation and Theory.

Ideal candidates possess a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or related, with a good publication record of computational studies in these fields and possibly experience with density functional theory or electronic structure methods. The specific research project can be negotiated with the research team, and therefore it represents a good opportunity to scientifically develop and grow in a context where openings of permanent positions are expected. The candidate will join a dynamical and young group active in many directions:

For any information and because the bureaucratic procedures of Croatia's academic employment requires specific documents for the call (expected in Sept. 2021), potential candidates are invited to get in contact to: Luca Grisanti ([email protected]) or Ivor Lončarić ([email protected]).
The monthly salary before taxes is approx 1700€. Health (including dental coverage) insurance is provided. Good quality of life can be maintained as Croatia offers a relatively low cost of living.
