Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

A postdoctoral research fellow position is open in the Data-Driven Materials Discovery & Materials Informatics Group at the Institute for Materials Discovery. Outstanding highly motivated candidates are sought with strong background in materials modelling and/or computational physics/chemistry. Candidates are expected to participate and contribute to exciting developments in state-of-the-art data-driven materials modelling, spanning multiple methods and modelling approaches spanning multiple methods and modelling approaches (inc. electronic DFT and atomistic MD). The focus is to contribute to creating an artificial intelligence framework for validation of advanced multi scale materials models. In addition, ample networking and collaboration opportunities within UCL within the Chemistry, Physics and Engineering departments as well as with the emerging UCL East campus in London and with leading international researchers and industry are offered. see https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/CTD587/research-fellow-for-integrated-multiscale-materials-modelling-materials-informatics for more information and how to apply.
