Two postdoctoral positions are available to work in the Materials Design Group led by Professor Aron Walsh at Imperial College London, and as part of the Thomas Young Centre for the Theory and Simulation of Materials.

The positions are in the STARCELL network, funded by Horizon2020, connecting leading research groups in photovoltaics accross Europe, USA and Japan. You will play a leading role in computational support for the development and characterisation of new materials for solar energy based on first-principles electronic structure calculations. Areas of interest include, but are not restricted to, electronic excitations, theoretical spectroscopy, transport phenomena, materials data and informatics.
