The Institute for Theoretical Solid State Physics, IFW Dresden, is currently looking for an excellent student to fill a Doctoral Researcher Position in theoretical prediction of new Weyl semimetal materials from 1st January 2017. 

The aim of the doctoral research will be prediction of new materials with topological states, calculation of band structure and topological invariants from first principles, properties of edge states in new Weyl and Dirac semimetals. The research will be carried out in an international collaborative environment with strong interaction with the crystal growth group.
