We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a keen interest in computer modelling and organic synthesis. All candidates must have concluded a Master degree in  Chemistry or Physics or equivalent with outstanding results (i.e. average mark >= 16/20).

Candidates from Portugal and other European countries are directly eligible as well as candidates from any country with automatic degree accreditation by Portuguese authorities. 

The chosen candidate will be coordinated by Manuel Melle-Franco and Manuel Souto Salom from CICECO - Institute of Materials. The scholarship is funded for up to four years and includes tuition fees during which the student will enrol in a university of Aveiro doctoral program in chemistry, condensed matter physics or equivalent depending on background. 

The chosen candidate will work in CICECO at the University of Aveiro, in addition to several months abroad. The research will be devoted to design, modelling and synthesis of porous organic materials of interest for energy storage applications.
