PhD scholarship at the University of Sydney (No replies)

A PhD scholarship is available at the University of Sydney, School of Physics. The project will be focused on first-principles calculations of atomic defects in solids for quantum technologies using a combination of density-functional theory, many-body perturbation theory and machine learning techniques. The student will be supervised by Dr. Carla Verdi and Prof. Catherine Stampfl.
The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students (international students will also be eligible for a tuition fee scholarship from the University of Sydney). The start date is negotiable, within the first half of 2023.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree with Honours or Master's degree in Physics, Materials Science or a related discipline.
-Background in condensed matter, materials science or a related field, ideally with experience in computational research.
-Good written and oral communication skills.
-Previous experience in first-principles calculations is desirable.
