Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a 3-4 week delay between posts being submitted and emails being sent to the mailing list. Please bear with us while we try to improve this.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Artificial Intelligence Accelerated Materials Discovery Lab led by Prof. Ming Hu at Mechanical Engineering Department, University of South Carolina has one full time PhD student opening immediately available in the broad areas of machine learning accelerated novel functional materials discovery, including but not limited to thermal transport, electronic structure, batteries, superionic conductors, thermoelectrics.  More information about our group can be found in the following webpage.

Interested applications should send following documents by E-Mail:

1) a CV with full publication list and short description of previous and current research projects

2) bachelor and master transcripts

High priority will be given to those with strong background in atomistic simulations (classical molecular dynamics simulations and/or first-principles calculations) of thermal, electronic, or ionic transport in crystalline materials and across interfaces.  Students with a master’s degree in materials science or condensed matter physics are required to apply.

For outstanding students, GRE score could be waived.  TOEFL or IETLS score is required.
